Giorgia Gabriele, in the collection notes for Armarium’s resort 2026 lookbook, described Vespera as not an ending, but a beginning. Vespera, which means evening in Latin, is an exploration of the night as a suspended dimension on the edge of the unconscious. The garments in this collection are not meant to suggest transformation, but rather revelation. They are designed for women who seek an uninhibited way to express themselves. This is the first time Gabriele has presented a wardrobe entirely dedicated to nightwear in all its variations, yet crafted to be worn effortlessly throughout the day. The pieces are defined less by function and more by mood.
Reflecting on her inspiration for the collection, Gabriele said, “I like to observe women and the way they engage with the world, but sometimes that leads me to overlook my own inner dimension. This season, there were no external influences—it is profoundly personal, even in the way it conveys a kind of confidence that should be embraced not only when the light begins to dim.”
One of the standout pieces from the collection is a black sheath dress adorned with tubular glass and crystal fringe. The open back is closed with fabric panels constructed like origami, adding an element of surprise. Boxy jackets feature bra straps as laces on the back, allowing for adjustable fit and shifting silhouette. Collar bars, typically hidden on men’s shirts, are exposed and transformed into jewelry. The collection also includes tuxedos, flared leather skirts, ultra-light knit dresses, and inside-out constructions, showcasing a palpable tension between structure and sensuality.
The color palette of the collection ranges from anthracite gray and glossy silver to rich black and buttery tones, with pops of vivid red and touches of oxford blue. New jewelry pieces include the mussel-shell brooch and a twisted rope parure. The footwear offerings for the season feature a deeply cut ballerina lined in suede, an ultra-bare sandal, and an ankle-strap pump.
