Armed robbers are targeting food delivery drivers in McKinley Park, cops say

Food delivery drivers in the McKinley Park area of Chicago are being targeted by armed robbers, with at least five incidents reported since October 21. According to Chicago police, the robbers, typically one or two individuals armed with pistols or rifles, confront drivers and steal items such as food, phones, and cash. The offenders have been seen using various vehicles including a red Ford SUV, a gray minivan, and a gold Chevy Tahoe.

Detectives have connected five specific robberies to this crime pattern, including incidents on South Wolcott, South Paulina, South Hoyne, and South Wood. The suspects involved in these robberies have been described as a Hispanic female and male, a man with an “Edgar” haircut and a cross tattoo, a Hispanic man with a face tattoo, and a Hispanic man with specific physical characteristics.

Chicago police are urging anyone with information on these incidents to contact Area One detectives at 312-747-8384 and reference crime pattern #P24-1-200. The police alert included detailed descriptions of the suspects involved in these robberies to aid in their identification and apprehension.
