Man Arrested After Shooting at Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Celebration
On Saturday morning, a 28-year-old man was taken into custody for opening fire at the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl celebration on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, leading to chaos and injuries, as reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer.
During the altercation, a 27-year-old woman was shot in the leg after she and her boyfriend attempted to cut a porta-potty line, resulting in a physical altercation. Additionally, a 20-year-old bystander was also struck in the thigh by gunfire.
According to reports, the violence began when a member of the crowd punched the woman’s boyfriend, prompting the suspect to fire shots into the crowd.
Both victims were transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and are currently in stable condition. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, is in police custody with pending charges. Authorities have recovered a weapon believed to be used in the shooting.

Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore mentioned that the violence erupted close to where Eagles players and team officials were addressing the crowd at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
