ASAP Rocky Gushes Over Daughter He Shares With Rihanna

A$AP Rocky is embracing his role as a doting father.

In an exclusive interview with Complex published on Thursday, October 9, the rapper shared his joy about his baby girl, Rocki Irish Mayers, born on September 13 with Rihanna.

“My daughter. That’s my favorite creation of the year,” said Rocky, 37. “Big shout out to Rocki Irish, man.”

The couple, who are also parents to RZA, aged 3, and Riot, aged 2, announced their newest arrival through an Instagram post on September 24.

“Rocki Irish Mayers born on Sept 13, 2025 🎀” Rihanna, 37, captioned a tender moment with her newborn.

Though Rocky and Rihanna did not disclose the sex of their child beforehand, Rocky expressed a desire for a daughter after their two sons.

“I’m hoping for a girl. Seriously, we’re praying for that,” he revealed to Elle in September. “The first child, we wanted to know the sex. The second time, we decided not to find out. This time, we choose to wait.”

He further stated, “This pregnancy feels different. I suspect it’ll be a girl. I need that in my life.”

Rihanna has previously praised Rocky’s parenting skills in a February conversation with Harper’s Bazaar.

She mentioned that the most wonderful aspect of their partnership is witnessing him as a father.

However, she humorously expressed her frustration at how much the couple’s boys adore him.

“It can be annoying, as my sons sometimes seem to prefer him over me,” she quipped. “I’m like, ‘Do you know who gave birth to you?’ But watching their bond, it’s heartwarming.”

Reflecting later, Rihanna discussed the profound change parenthood has brought to her life.

“It’s everything. It’s wild how you forget life before becoming a parent. You try to remember but it feels so distant. The priorities, what you truly enjoy, all shifts. It no longer holds relevance,” she shared in a 2023 chat with British Vogue.

Rocky has also passionately lauded Rihanna, citing her positive influence on his life.

“Our relationship is blossoming,” the rapper shared. “There’s no one better because she understands my busy lifestyle. When we find time together, it’s golden. It’s about understanding and synergy.”

Rocky previously referred to Rihanna as “The One” in a GQ interview in 2021.

“Everything is elevated when you have The One,” he said. “She’s incomparable, and you just know. She’s definitely The One.”
