Tubi, a division of Fox Corp., has made a significant move into the podcasting world by striking a multiyear deal with Audiochuck, the company founded by Ashley Flowers. This exclusive distribution and ad sales agreement includes popular shows like “Crime Junkie,” known for consistently ranking as the No. 1 true-crime podcast.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the deal is valued at approximately $150 million and includes the development of a dedicated “Crime Junkie” FAST channel to be distributed across Tubi, Fox One subscription service, and third-party platforms. Additionally, there will be an on-demand collection of video podcast episodes. Red Seat Ventures, part of Tubi Media Group, will take over ad sales management for Audiochuck’s suite of programs and podcasts.

Despite this new partnership, “Crime Junkie” and other Audiochuck shows will still be available on major podcast platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. This deal marks Audiochuck’s exit from a previous distribution and sales pact with SiriusXM.

Audiochuck’s podcast network boasts more than 20 weekly and seasonal shows, including “The Deck,” “Counter Clock,” “Park Predators,” and “Dark Downeast.” With over 10 million monthly listeners and about 2 million per episode, the company has seen significant success in the true crime and mystery storytelling genre.

Earlier this year, Audiochuck received a $40 million investment from The Chernin Group, marking its first outside funding and valuing the company at around $250 million. With Flowers at the helm, Audiochuck remains committed to meaningful storytelling with a positive social impact.

Paul Cheesbrough, CEO of Tubi Media Group, praised Audiochuck’s dedication to storytelling and expressed excitement about the partnership. Flowers, as the founder and chief creative officer of Audiochuck, sees this collaboration as an opportunity to redefine how true crime stories are experienced across audio and video mediums.

CEO Matt Starker noted that the deal with Tubi allows Audiochuck to expand its reach and reimagine storytelling in both formats. With the upcoming launch of “Chameleon,” a new weekly podcast exploring the world of deception, Audiochuck continues to push boundaries in the podcasting space.

In addition to its content, Audiochuck has been actively involved in fundraising efforts that have resulted in over $8.5 million in donations to support communities affected by crime. The company’s impact goes beyond entertainment, with six cold cases reportedly being solved with the help of the Audiochuck community.

Flowers’ commitment to justice led to the creation of Season of Justice, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding investigative efforts and assisting families in solving cold cases. Through storytelling and community engagement, Audiochuck remains at the forefront of true crime podcasting, with Tubi as its newest partner in expanding its reach and influence.
