Daveon Javon-James Jackson was apprehended around 7 p.m. on Saturday for suspicion of various charges including leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death, careless driving resulting in death, hit-and-run, and failure to report a crash, as reported by Aurora Police Department spokesperson Joe Moylan in an email to JS.
The hit-and-run crash occurred at 11:18 p.m. on Friday near East Wesley Drive and South Dunkirk Street, where police found a 16-year-old with severe injuries after being struck while riding a scooter in the bike lane.
