Puerto Rico, the birthplace of Bad Bunny, exudes a palpable presence of the reggaeton sensation from the moment you step foot in San Juan. From souvenir shops selling graphic tees emblazoned with his lyrics to the sound of his music blaring from car windows, it’s clear that Bad Bunny’s influence looms large on the island.

On a sunny Sunday morning in March, Benito Antonio MartĂnez Ocasio, known to the world as Bad Bunny, is the focus of a photo shoot set in a traditional Puerto Rican home. The house is adorned with typical island decor, from pilones in the kitchen to framed prints of local imagery on the walls. As Benito arrives, right on time at 10 o’clock, he exudes his signature style in a camouflage T-shirt, Sky High Farm jeans, and vibrant Adidas sneakers. The sounds of Luis Miguel’s hits fill the air, setting a lively atmosphere for the day ahead.

During a break from the shoot, we meet at CafĂ© con Ron, a cafe owned by Benito and his team on San Sebastian street. The laid-back ambiance of the cafe mirrors Benito’s relaxed demeanor as he manages his own social media and interacts with fans. Dressed in a cropped white T-shirt, baggy jeans, and his trusty Adidas sneakers, Benito exudes a sense of authenticity and connection to his Puerto Rican roots.

Three months away from the release of his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Bad Bunny reflects on the project as a tribute to Puerto Rico and its rich culture. The album serves as a love letter to his homeland, showcasing his deep connection to the island and its people.

With his infectious beats and heartfelt lyrics, he has captured the hearts of fans worldwide and solidified his place as a cultural icon. In the land that gave birth to Bad Bunny, his presence is felt at every turn, a testament to his unparalleled talent and enduring influence.
