The FBI is currently on the hunt for a serial bank robber who has struck three times in the past week. The agency is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the culprit.
The first robbery took place at the Fifth Third Bank on North Broadway in Andersonville. The suspect presented a note to a teller on May 9 but left empty-handed. His second attempt was at U.S. Bank on North Clark in Edgewater, where he once again failed to obtain any money. However, the third time proved to be successful as he successfully robbed the Fifth Third Bank on North Milwaukee in Logan Square.
Described as a White male standing at 5’4″ or 5’5″ with a slight build, the robber fled on foot after each incident and implied that he was armed. The FBI is urging anyone with information to contact them at 312-421-6700 or through their website at tips.fbi.gov.
