The Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College (Bard MFA) is proud to present the Class of 2026 Thesis Exhibition, titled “Double Take.” This exhibition showcases the culminating work of third-year MFA candidates at the Bard Exhibition Center/UBS Gallery in Red Hook, New York. The thesis events will kick off with performances at Olin Hall on the Bard College campus on Friday, July 11. The exhibition’s opening reception at UBS Gallery is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, from 1pm to 4pm, and will be on view until Sunday, July 20.

The Bard MFA Class of 2026 includes Juan Cisneros, Antonio Darden, Caroline David, Quinha Faria, Talia Fox, Lizzy Gabay, Shem Goldman, Bryce Hackford, Zoe Hamersly, Jeffrey Heiman, Rosa Maria de los Heros, Adrien Howard, Estefanía Landesmann, Alma Laprida, David Lindsay, Jonas Monka, Frances Grace Mortel, Daisy Noyes, Martha Schnee, Cameron Sneddon, Maia Taber Ayerza, and Maria VMier.

“Double Take” will run from July 11 to July 20, 2025. The thesis performances will take place on Friday, July 11 at 6pm at Olin Hall, 35 Henderson Circle Drive, Red Hook, New York 12571. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 12 from 1pm to 4pm at UBS Gallery, 29 O’Callaghan Lane, Red Hook, New York 12571.

The Thesis Exhibition Coordinator, Mike R. Curran, is a curator and arts writer originally from Maine. He has lived in the Twin Cities for the past decade and is currently based in Kingston, New York. Curran is a master’s candidate at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.

The Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts was founded in 1981 as a ground-breaking low-residency MFA program. The school brings together students and faculty from six disciplines: Moving Image, Music/Sound, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Writing. Students engage in a diverse and interdisciplinary community of artists during three 8-week summer sessions on the Bard College campus, with independent study periods in between.
