David Ortiz, the former Boston Red Sox slugger, is making headlines once again, but this time it’s not for hitting home runs. Ortiz has recently purchased a branded residence at ORA by Casa Tua, a luxury condo building in Miami, as reported by the New York Post. This comes after Ortiz sold his Miami-area mansion for $10.6 million two years ago.

Casa Tua is known for its upscale restaurant chain with locations in Miami, New York, Paris, and Aspen, Colorado. Ortiz, who spent 14 of his 20 seasons with the Red Sox, winning three World Series titles and the World Series MVP in 2013, is no stranger to luxury living. The condo he purchased features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a library, and a terrace, with prices ranging from $3.25 million to $3.75 million.

Ortiz’s ex-wife, Tiffany, oversaw the construction and development of their former mansion, which was sold in 2023. The couple owned multiple properties at the time, including their former marital home in Miami. Ortiz’s transition from the Northeast to Florida after retiring in 2016 has been a smooth one, with the former baseball star enjoying the Florida sunshine and upscale living.

During his career, Ortiz earned over $160 million, with endorsement deals from brands like MasterCard, JetBlue, Coca-Cola, and Buffalo Wild Wings. His one-year deal in 2015 with the Red Sox earned him $16 million, with team options for 2016 and 2017. Despite never playing in the 2017 season, Ortiz’s legacy as a baseball legend remains intact.

In 2019, Ortiz was shot and wounded in the Dominican Republic, but he survived after undergoing three surgeries. The incident was a wake-up call for Ortiz, who reflected on the fragility of life and the importance of family. Despite the challenges he has faced, Ortiz remains resilient and continues to thrive in his post-baseball career.

Overall, Ortiz’s move to a branded residence in Miami symbolizes his transition from baseball superstar to luxury condo owner. With a successful career behind him and a bright future ahead, Ortiz is proving that life after baseball can be just as fulfilling.
