Newcomer Thaddeus LaGrone Joins Cast of Fox’s “Baywatch” Reboot
Thaddeus LaGrone has been announced as the newest addition to the cast of Fox’s highly anticipated “Baywatch” reboot. LaGrone joins a star-studded ensemble that includes Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, and David Chokachi.
In the upcoming series, LaGrone will portray Brad, a former Marine who returns to Venice Beach to care for his father after serving two tours. Described as fearless and incredibly strong, Brad must learn the value of teamwork as part of the Baywatch lifeguard family.
LaGrone, known for his musical talents and background in football, has recently ventured into acting with roles in various projects, including Dan Fogelman’s upcoming NFL drama on Hulu and the sports film “Mr. Irrelevant.”
The “Baywatch” reboot is set to premiere on Fox during the 2026-2027 TV season, with Amell playing Hobie Buchannon, Belkin as Charlie Vale, and Chokachi reprising his role as Cody Madison from the original series.
Following a successful casting call, production for the new series will kick off this spring in Venice Beach and on the Fox studio lot in Century City, thanks in part to a $21 million state tax credit.
The revival’s logline teases a new chapter in the Baywatch legacy, with familiar faces like Hobie Buchannon and Cody Madison playing pivotal roles in the story.
“Baywatch” was greenlit for the upcoming broadcast season by Fox in 2025, with showrunner Matt Nix and a talented team of executive producers at the helm. The series is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with domestic distribution rights held by Fox Entertainment Global.
LaGrone is represented by Brave Artists Management and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
