In her compelling address to the U.N., Violet emphasized that the transition away from mask mandates happened too hastily and cautioned that Covid still poses a significant risk.
Violet articulated her concern by stating: âIt is a grave neglect to tell children: âWe once had the means to protect you, yet chose not to.â
âIn encouraging a return to ânormalcyâ, we have overlooked, diminished, and even hidden the serious risks of airborne transmission and the long-term impacts of Covid, which is evident in choices being made.â
She argued that âwhat is happening in our present is being stolen from us, right before our eyesâ.

Violet strongly asserts that proper facemask usage and other preventive measures are essential for maintaining health. Recently, she participated in the âHealthy Indoor Airâ initiative.
She concluded her remarks by declaring that access to clean, filtered air is a âhuman rightâ that should be as readily available as filtered water.
Violet remarked: âWe can implement clean air infrastructure so widespread and evidently vital that future generations will not question its necessity.â
The activist has previously voiced her concerns regarding insufficient mask regulations in public spaces. Last summer, she took the podium at a Los Angeles city board meeting and criticized the local government for their leniency toward mask mandates in healthcare settings.
During that speech, Violet bravely shared her personal experience battling health issues resulting from a prior viral infection.

âThe Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted this reality even more.â

Violetâs parents, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, have actively supported her advocacy efforts.
Last year, she gained attention for donning a black sweater featuring a watermelon symbol, signifying her support for Palestine. The image went viral, prompting increased demand for the garment, produced by a Chicago-based company called Wear the Peace.
A few months later, she was seen in a pink summer dress, again with a mask on, holding a book titled The Viral Underclass: The Human Toll When Inequality and Disease Collide by Steven W. Thrasher, tackling global health disparities.
