Greptile, an AI-Powered Code Review Startup, on Track to Raise $30 Million Series A
Greptile, a cutting-edge AI-powered code review startup, is currently in the process of securing a Series A funding round. Sources familiar with the deal have informed JS that the funding is set at $30 million with a valuation of $180 million, with Benchmark partner Eric Vishria leading the investment. However, it should be noted that the deal has not yet been finalized, and terms may be subject to change.
Founded by Dasksh Gupta shortly after graduating from Georgia Tech in 2023, Greptile made its mark by participating in Y Combinator’s winter 2024 cohort. Following the program, the startup successfully raised a $4 million seed round led by Initialized Capital.
Gupta has described the bot developed by Greptile as an invaluable asset, functioning as a knowledgeable colleague with a deep understanding of the customer’s code. This unique capability allows the bot to identify bugs and potential issues that human reviewers may overlook.
Competition in the AI-driven code review sector is fierce, with companies like Graphite and Coderabbit vying for market share. Graphite recently secured a $52 million Series B funding round, while Coderabbit obtained a $16 million Series A round.
In order to stay ahead of the competition, Greptile has implemented a demanding work culture, requiring employees to put in long hours. Gupta himself acknowledged the challenging work environment in a viral post on X, stating that Greptile offers no work-life balance and employees typically work from 9 am to 11 pm, including weekends.

Despite the demanding work culture, securing a high-profile investor like Benchmark for the Series A round could greatly benefit Greptile’s growth trajectory. Both Greptile and Benchmark have not provided any comments regarding the funding round.
