Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is embarking on a new national tour titled “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” to address the growing influence of billionaires and large corporations in American politics. Sanders, a prominent progressive voice in the country, has long been warning about the rise of an oligarchy and the country’s move toward authoritarianism.

The tour will focus on working class districts won by President Biden in 2020 and a Republican House member in 2024. The first leg of the tour will kick off in Omaha and Iowa City, where Sanders will hold town halls to discuss pressing issues facing working class people and outline ways Americans can fight back against the influence of President Trump and Elon Musk.

Sanders emphasized the importance of fighting back against the increasing power and wealth of the oligarchs and the billionaire class. He pointed out that while the wealthy are getting richer, the majority of Americans are struggling to make ends meet. Sanders urged Americans to come together and resist the forces of authoritarianism, oligarchy, and kleptocracy.

The tour is a strategic move to reach out to local communities and generate attention in the local press. Sanders understands the importance of grassroots messaging and mobilization, especially in working class districts where Democrats need to make a strong impact. By appealing to local media outlets, Sanders hopes to reach a wider audience and engage lower information voters who rely on local news for information.

Sanders’s tour is a bold and urgent initiative to bring attention to the growing influence of the wealthy elite in American politics. By taking his message directly to the people, Sanders is rallying support for a more equitable and just society where power is not concentrated in the hands of a few. The tour is a call to action for all Americans to join the fight against oligarchy and reclaim the country for the people.
