Belair, known as The EST, has been absent from the ring since WrestleMania 41. She sustained a severe hand injury during her Women’s World Championship match with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. Initially thought to be a minor finger injury, it was later discovered that the damage extended to her knuckle and finger joint, resulting in a longer recovery period than anticipated.

In February 2026, Belair underwent surgery. She disclosed that despite extensive therapy, her injury had not healed correctly, necessitating the surgical procedure.
In her latest health update, Belair posted a video on her Instagram story, indicating that her finger is now flexing and bending successfully, although she remains in therapy.
Belair made an unexpected appearance at WrestleMania 42, interrupting John Cena’s promo. She revealed that she and her husband, Montez Ford, are expecting their first child. Her return to the ring will now also depend on her pregnancy timeline. At present, WWE has not announced an official date for her return to television or in-ring action.

The EST has urged fans to respect her privacy, expressing concerns about the increasing use of AI.
While discussing her pregnancy, the former WWE Women’s Champion highlighted her worries about AI-generated images involving her future child. She expressed discomfort with the idea of people creating fake images using AI and strongly urged fans not to participate in such activities.
“Y’all, please don’t start these Al photos of my baby. Before he’s here, when y’all think he’s here, or when he gets here. Now that I’m in this situation…It’s already freaking me out thinking about the things people will try to do with Al,” Bianca Belair wrote.
