According to a recent Gallup poll, President Biden has been rated lower in terms of improving the nation’s defenses, immigration situation, and federal debt compared to his three predecessors in the White House.
The survey revealed that Biden received a net negative rating on national defense and the military, scoring lower than Trump, Obama, and Bush. Additionally, a significant number of Americans believe that the country lost ground in key areas under Biden’s leadership.
While Biden has made claims about his administration’s accomplishments, such as putting together a competent foreign policy team and strengthening the economy, the public perception seems to differ.
On immigration, a majority of Americans felt that Biden went backward, with only 13% believing that there was improvement under his administration. The situation with the federal debt was also a point of concern, as Biden’s handling of it received a negative rating.
Despite some positive ratings in certain areas, such as the situation for gay, lesbian, and transgender individuals, Biden’s overall performance in critical policy areas seems to have fallen short of expectations.
The survey results coincide with a separate Gallup poll that indicated a significant portion of Americans expect Biden to be remembered as a “poor” to “below average” president in history.
As Biden prepares to leave office, the public perception of his presidency seems to be mixed, with varying opinions on his legacy and performance in key policy areas.
