Bill Maher Confirms Kimmy Kimmel Feud
Bill Maher recently opened up about his feud with late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, calling him “one of the nicest guys” despite their differences.
During a conversation, Maher mentioned that he had tried to make amends with Kimmel through email, though not necessarily apologizing for the specific issue Kimmel had raised.
While Maher acknowledged Kimmel’s kindness, he also pointed out the stark contrast between his show, Real Time, and network late-night talk shows like Kimmel’s. Maher emphasized that his approach to political satire differed significantly from the other hosts, who he accused of being too left-leaning and one-sided in their monologues.
Maher took a jab at Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Fallon, suggesting that their monologues could be easily interchangeable due to their similar tones and focus on bashing Donald Trump. In contrast, Maher prides himself on his ability to critique both left-wing and right-wing politics without bias.
Expressing his frustration with being labeled as too conservative by his fellow late-night hosts, Maher made it clear that he refuses to conform to a specific ideology. He emphasized that his humor is rooted in challenging and satirizing both sides of the political spectrum, and he has no intention of changing his approach to suit the expectations of others.
