Bill Maher’s Response to Joining the Republican Party
Bill Maher has a straightforward reason for not aligning with the Republican Party.
The “Real Time” host recently addressed his Republican fans who wonder why he, despite criticizing the Democratic party, won’t switch sides and join the right-wing.
“To those on the right urging me to join them because of my criticism of woke culture, my answer is simple: I don’t want to live in North Korea,” Maher stated on his show.
He went on to compare Republicans to Kim Jong Un’s state stenographers, emphasizing the idolatry shown towards President Donald Trump within the party.

Maher criticized the proposals of renaming airports and honoring Trump on currency, stating that such actions do not align with American values.
Furthermore, Maher pointed out how Republicans have adopted Trump’s mannerisms, even naming weapons systems after him.
“Some even talk like him now, with the crazy over-the-top exaggerations,” Maher quipped, highlighting the absurdity of certain statements made by Trump supporters.
