Their relationship faces challenges as they have a sudden break-up after an argument, but they are forced to come together again as the zombie outbreak spreads across the city.
The screenplay for “Newtopia” is co-written by Han Jin-won, known for his work on “Parasite,” and Jee Ho-jin, the writer of “A Shop for Killers.” Director Yoon Sung-hyun, who has previously collaborated with Park on “Bleak Night” and “Time to Hunt,” helms the project.
This series marks Jisoo’s second major acting role, following her lead performance in “Snowdrop.” The K-pop idol-turned-actress has previously appeared in “The Producer” and “Arthdal Chronicles.” Park Jeong-min brings significant critical acclaim to the project, having won best new actor honors at prestigious awards for his past performances.
