The Blaze dominated the second half of the game, despite a shaky start with the bat, posting a total of 104 for eight. Australian all-rounder Hannah Darlington shone with both bat and ball, taking four wickets and top-scoring with 26 runs. Melie Kerr also made a significant impact, claiming two wickets for 15 runs.
The Sparks got off to an unusual start, with a wide and a run-out without facing a ball. However, they struggled to build partnerships as the Blaze bowlers applied pressure. The chase seemed straightforward, but veteran Suzie Bates fell early, and the Sparks continued to lose wickets at crucial moments.
Despite a valiant effort by Robertson in the final over, the Sparks fell short, needing 20 runs to win. Wellington’s strong bowling performance ultimately sealed the victory, adding another Super Smash title to their collection.
