Maggie Lawson has landed a significant role in CBS’ upcoming spinoff series, “Boston Blue,” a continuation of the popular show “Blue Bloods.” In the new series, Lawson will play the character of Sarah Silver, the superintendent of the Boston Police Department. Silver is depicted as someone who understands the delicate balance between her professional duties and personal life.
The show will see Donnie Wahlberg reprising his role as officer Danny Reagan from “Blue Bloods.” Danny will be joining the Boston PD and will be partnered with detective Lena Silver, played by Sonequa Martin-Green, who is the eldest daughter of a well-known law enforcement family.
Lawson is no stranger to playing law enforcement roles, as she is best known for her portrayal of Juliet O’Hara in the long-running series “Psych.” She has also appeared in various TV shows and movies, including Hallmark Christmas movies and indie comedies. Her impressive resume includes roles in popular shows like “The Santa Clarita Diet,” “Lethal Weapon,” and “Two and a Half Men.”
The talented actress is represented by Gersh and Principal Entertainment. “Boston Blue” is being executive produced by Brandon Sonnier, Brandon Margolis, Jerry Bruckheimer, KristieAnne Reed, and Wahlberg.
