Social Network Bluesky Introduces Highly-Requested Draft Feature
Bluesky, the popular social networking platform, has finally rolled out a feature that users have been eagerly anticipating: drafts. This new addition brings Bluesky in line with its competitors, X and Threads, who have long offered the ability to save drafts before publishing.
Users can now access drafts on Bluesky in a similar manner to other platforms by simply opening the new post flow and selecting the Drafts button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
Bluesky’s decision to introduce drafts follows a recent announcement where the company outlined its plans for the upcoming year. These plans include enhancing the app’s algorithmic Discover feed, providing improved recommendations for users to follow, and creating a more real-time experience within the app. Despite these advancements, Bluesky acknowledges the importance of getting the basics right.
While Bluesky has built a dedicated user base since its public launch in early 2024, it still falls behind its competitors in certain areas. For instance, features like private accounts and support for longer videos are yet to be implemented on the platform.
Since its launch, Bluesky has experienced significant growth, boasting over 42 million users according to data obtained from the Bluesky API for developers.
