ESPARTO, Calif. — Authorities in Northern California have discovered the bodies of all seven individuals who were reported missing following an explosion at a fireworks warehouse last week. The explosion resulted in a wildfire and caused significant impact on a small farming community.

The fireworks explosion on Tuesday led to a massive fire that caused additional spot fires, resulting in the collapse of the building in Yolo County, located approximately 40 miles (64 kilometers) northwest of Sacramento.

All human remains have been recovered from the burned warehouse site, but the identities of the deceased are being withheld until their families have been notified, according to a statement released by the county on Sunday.

“Crews are currently working on managing the explosive hazards present at the site,” the statement added. The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.

Following the blast in the town of Encarto, two individuals were treated for injuries, as confirmed by officials.

The warehouse was operated by Devastating Pyrotechnics, a company with over 30 years of experience in designing and producing fireworks displays, as indicated on a screenshot of its website before it was taken offline.

“Our thoughts and condolences are with the individuals we have lost, their families, and all those affected in our community,” stated the company in a release last week. “Our primary focus remains on supporting those directly impacted by this tragic event, and we will fully cooperate with the authorities in their investigation.”

The wildfire resulting from the explosion encompassed nearly 80 acres (33 hectares) and caused damage to surrounding agricultural fields, as confirmed by officials.
