Authorities are investigating a tragic incident where a body was found in a burning car early Monday morning near Pueblo, Colorado.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has initiated a death investigation following a report from a passerby who noticed a burning car on the west side of the frontage road along Interstate 25. The call to 911 was made shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday.
The Pueblo Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire, revealing a body inside the vehicle. The Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control provided assistance during the investigation.
The Pueblo County Coroner will conduct an autopsy to identify the individual and determine the cause and manner of death.
