The nation’s largest retail empire seems poised to experience a backlash reminiscent of the Bud Light debacle, all thanks to Christy Walton, a billionaire heiress with a penchant for the dramatic.

According to the New York Post, Walton, the widow of John T. Walton (one of Walmart’s founders, Sam Walton’s sons), has decided to invest in a full-page advertisement in the decidedly left-leaning New York Times. The ad advocates for a nationwide protest against President Trump, coinciding with a significant military parade honoring the 250th Anniversary of the Army, scheduled for the exact same day.

This ad is a call to action, urging Americans to “mobilize” on Flag Day — which also happens to be Trump’s birthday — to “reject authoritarianism.” The group behind this movement, dubbed “No Kings,” seeks to rally public sentiment against perceived autocratic tendencies.

Adding fuel to the fire, entrepreneur and political commentator Patrick Bet-David disclosed that coordinated protests are in the works across all 50 states, with over 1,500 planned events. He warns that this operation appears to be a strategic attempt to undermine President Trump and stir unrest as the midterm elections approach. Some of these protests are reportedly linked to Walton’s initiative.

In response to Walton’s actions, White House spokesman Kush Desai expressed his thoughts during an interview with the New York Post.

“Wonderful, a left-wing billionaire decides to torch some of her inheritance for what seems to be a PR stunt,” Desai remarked. “However, this won’t alter the reality that over 77 million Americans voted for policies focused on mass deportations, border security, and ‘America First’ trade strategies — a clear mandate that the Trump administration is dedicated to executing with every tool at its disposal.”

Following the revelation of Walton’s involvement, the hashtag #BoycottWalmart gained traction online, particularly on Wednesday, as noted by the Post.

Influential Trump supporters, including renowned political strategist Roger Stone and White House advisor Kari Lake, have also joined the chorus, urging Americans to reconsider their shopping habits at the retail giant.

Boycott Walmart! The Walmart Heiress subsidizes insurrection. Next up peaceful protest outside all of their stores to encourage people not to shop there. Essentially what left-wing stooges did to Tesla. Let’s go.

Meanwhile, Walmart has distanced itself from Walton’s actions, issuing a statement to Newsweek that reads: “The advertisements from Christy Walton are in no way connected to or endorsed by Walmart. She does not serve on the board or play any role in decision-making at Walmart.”
