UK police have confirmed that a man has been detained following reports of a vehicle colliding with fans during the Liverpool Football Club’s Premier League trophy parade.
Merseyside police were alerted just after 6 p.m. local time (1 p.m. ET) to reports of a car striking several pedestrians in the city center.
According to the police statement, “The car stopped at the scene, and a male has been detained.”
