On a seemingly ordinary Sunday afternoon, President Trump stoked the fires of anticipation with a cryptic promise of a significant announcement, claiming it would be “one of the most important and impactful” proclamations he has ever made. His enthusiastic message, delivered via TRUTH Social at around 3 PM ET, left many pondering the potential implications of his words. ENJOY!

As political analysts and commentators indulged in speculation about the nature of this major announcement, the suspense thickened. After a three-hour wait, Trump unveiled his plan to dramatically slash pharmaceutical prices by a staggering 30% to 80%.

President Trump shared his thoughts on TRUTH:

President Trump: For many years, the world has wondered why prescription drugs and pharmaceuticals in the United States were SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE than in other nations—often five to ten times higher for the same drug produced in the same laboratory by the same company. It’s a perplexing and, frankly, embarrassing situation. Big Pharma has long claimed that exorbitant prices were justified by research and development costs, implying that American consumers were uniquely burdened as the “suckers” of the world.

While campaign contributions can influence many things, they won’t sway me, nor will they sway the Republican Party.

We are committed to doing what is right—something the Democrats have championed for years. Therefore, I am excited to announce that tomorrow morning, at 9:00 AM in the White House, I will be signing one of the most consequential Executive Orders in our country’s history. Prescription drug and pharmaceutical prices will be reduced, almost immediately, by 30% to 80%. Prices will rise in other countries to equalize costs, finally bringing fairness to America! I will implement a MOST FAVORED NATION’S POLICY, ensuring that the United States pays the same price as the country with the lowest drug prices worldwide. Our nation will finally be treated fairly, and healthcare costs for our citizens will drop to unprecedented levels. Moreover, the United States will save TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
