In the artwork of Thomas Jackson, vibrant fabrics flutter in the air, provoking thought about the interplay between nature, human influence, and consumer culture. Jackson describes his installations as “rooted in the tension between nature and artificiality,” encouraging reflection on our environmental interactions and the potential for balance.
Jackson states, “All of my photographs strain credulity by design.” He explains that while they might initially seem like digital creations, they are in fact captured entirely in-camera with minimal editing. The flowing fabrics in his dreamlike images seem to float and wrap around landscapes independently, but a closer look reveals the strings holding the delicately arranged sheets.

Currently, Jackson is dedicating his efforts to a new book project, utilizing the time between major exhibitions to create fresh work. More of his work can be seen on Instagram.
