Netflix has officially announced that the popular series “Bridgerton” will be returning for Seasons 5 and 6, much to the delight of fans. The streaming service has also confirmed that Season 4 of the show will premiere in 2026, marking the halfway point of the series.
Based on Julia Quinn’s romance novel series, “Bridgerton” follows the lives of the eight siblings in the Bridgerton family during the Regency era. With the new two-season order, Netflix has committed to producing at least six out of the planned eight seasons of the show, which is produced by Shonda Rhimes.
At Netflix’s upfront presentation to advertisers, new footage from “Bridgerton” Season 4 was revealed, featuring Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton and Yerin Ha as his love interest Sophie Baek. The clip shows Benedict falling for Sophie at a masquerade ball, setting the stage for a new romance to unfold.
Previous seasons of “Bridgerton” have focused on different siblings in the Bridgerton family, with Season 3 following Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, Season 2 centered on Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma, and Season 1 introducing Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset. The upcoming seasons will explore the love stories of the remaining Bridgerton siblings.
The cast of “Bridgerton” Season 4 includes familiar faces like Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan, Claudia Jessie, and Luke Newton, as well as new additions such as Isabella Wei, Michelle Mao, and Katie Leung.
