Britney Spears seems to be spending quality time with her close friends following her recent DUI arrest.
Songwriter Diane Warren shared on Instagram on Sunday, April 5, a post stating, “Fun afternoon with some old friends,” accompanied by a bunny emoji to celebrate Easter 2026.
Warren, 69, posted a selfie with 44-year-old Spears, Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon, along with Spears’ manager and longtime friend, Cade Hudson.
In the photo, Spears is seen gesturing with her middle finger while holding what appears to be a cocktail. The contents of the drink remain unclear. She is dressed in a black hat, sunglasses, fingerless gloves, a white scarf, and a burnt orange top.
On March 4, Spears was stopped after the California Highway Patrol Ventura Communications Center received reports of a black BMW driving erratically at high speed on the 101 freeway. Authorities noted signs of impairment, leading to her arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She was booked into Ventura County Main Jail and released three hours later.
Chemical tests are pending, and the investigation is ongoing. Spears’ court date is set for Monday, May 4.
Spears’ representative told Us Weekly, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is committed to taking the right steps and complying with the law. We hope this marks the beginning of overdue changes in her life, allowing her to get the necessary help and support during this challenging time.”
The spokesperson also mentioned that Spears plans to spend time with her sons, Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Spears and Federline divorced in 2007 after three years of marriage, and she later married Sam Asghari from 2022 to 2023.
The statement continued, “Her boys will be spending time with her, and her loved ones are devising a much-needed plan to ensure her well-being and success.”
On March 29, Spears was photographed in a rare moment with Preston, who smiled with his arm around her shoulder.
Us exclusively reported on Friday, April 3, that Spears’ sons have begun using their mother’s renowned last name. However, Preston and Jayden have not legally changed their names.
