During Sunday night’s game, a Buffalo Bills fan attempted to disrupt a San Francisco 49ers player’s field goal attempt by throwing a snowball from the stands. The snowy weather at Highmark Stadium in western New York provided the perfect backdrop for this playful interference.
Despite the snowball’s near miss, Jake Moody managed to score a 33-yard field goal for the Niners, giving them the lead in the first quarter. Bills Mafia, however, showed their support for the home team by celebrating running back Ray Davis’ touchdown with a flurry of snowball tosses.
The cold temperatures and lake-effect snow in Orchard Park added to the festive atmosphere of the game. Fans even pitched in to help shovel the stadium for $20 an hour, food, and hot drinks before kickoff.
Ultimately, the Bills emerged victorious, securing their fifth consecutive AFC East title. Watch the video below to see the snowball almost blocking Moody’s field goal attempt.
