Bunnie Xo‘s former husband, Frankie Lombardo, continues to hold feelings for her.
Following the announcement that Bunnie, 46, and Jelly Roll, 41, are getting divorced, Lombardo shared his thoughts with Page Six on Friday, June 19.
“We talk every day,” Lombardo, 43, said. He mentioned that if Bunnie were open to it, he wouldn’t dismiss the idea of reconciling with her.
“She is the only woman who has ever truly broken my heart. I feel there’s unfinished business between us, though I might be the only one who sees it that way,” Lombardo expressed. “I love her deeply. I would never do anything to harm her, and I don’t see that changing.”
Frankie Lombardo, married to Bunnie from 2009 to 2015, praised her as the Stripped Down author and described their current friendship. “We have an interesting friendship. Sometimes she still talks to me like she’s my wife and reprimands me,” Lombardo told Page Six, adding, “Bunnie is my best friend.”
Us Weekly confirmed on June 15 that Jelly Roll filed to end his marriage one month prior, submitting a divorce petition in Tennessee on May 18.
On her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, Bunnie delved into the reasons behind their separation. “J and I have never really been good at having disagreements. So, we were the type of couple who never argued. So, he would be holding things in. I would be holding things in, and that’s a recipe for disaster,” she explained on the podcast. “We always preach you gotta be comfortable having the uncomfortable conversations, and we did that for eight years in. Then the past year and a half, we kind of got away from that because we’re in a different life right now.”

The breaking point, according to Bunnie, was a Mother’s Day argument in May when she told him to “file the f***ing divorce papers.”
Jelly Roll addressed their separation on stage during a performance in Saratoga Springs, NY.
“I wasn’t going to talk about this tonight, but while we’re talking about liars… the internet is a liar,” Jelly Roll commented in a video shared on his Instagram. “It’s the only time and the only city I’m going to speak about this so break your camera phones out now.”
The “Save Me” singer denied rumors of infidelity in their decision to end the marriage.
“Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today,” he stated. “Nobody cheated on nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth.”
The country star, who married Bunnie in August 2016, concluded with a heartfelt message for his estranged wife, expressing gratitude for their time together.
“Bunnie, I love you baby. Thank you for those 10 years. They were incredible. Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship and 20 beyond that,” he said.
