A dedicated Burger King employee in South Carolina is receiving accolades for her unwavering commitment to providing for her three children. Nykia Hamilton, 25, found herself running the entire store alone after her co-worker abruptly quit, showcasing her determination and work ethic.

Despite the staffing shortage, Hamilton hustled from station to station at the fast-food joint in Columbia, SC, ensuring that customers were served efficiently. A viral TikTok video posted on July 6 captured her tireless efforts as she handled various tasks single-handedly.

In an interview with WACH News, Hamilton revealed the challenges she faced during the shift, from washing dishes to managing the front counter and drive-thru. Despite working long hours to support her family, she highlighted the emotional toll of missing out on her children’s lives due to her demanding job.

After receiving help the following day, Hamilton once again found herself working solo on another closing shift as the Burger King remained understaffed. Despite the overwhelming workload, she remained grateful for the opportunity to work and provide for her kids.

Following widespread praise for her dedication, Burger King released a statement emphasizing that having a single team member work a shift goes against company policy. They assured that they are investigating the incident and will take necessary action.

Hamilton’s story resonated with many online users, with some urging her to start a GoFundMe page to support her family. Despite facing challenges, Hamilton’s resilience and determination have made her a source of inspiration for many.
