The Mismatched Shoe Burglar Strikes Again in Uptown

A new suspect has emerged in the latest Chicago police “wanted” bulletin, and he has a distinct signature style: mismatched shoes. Surveillance images have been released by detectives showing a man with a white and black sneaker on his right foot and a gray sneaker on his left, as he committed a burglary in an Uptown building on April 4.

The incident took place in the 4800 block of North Magnolia between 1:30 and 3:30 a.m. The suspect entered the building and targeted the storage unit, making off with various items, according to CPD.

The suspect is described as a White male with a slender build and short facial hair. In addition to his mismatched shoes, he was seen wearing a scarf and a black leather jacket during the burglary.

If you have any information or recognize the individual in the surveillance images, please contact CPD at 312-744-8263 and reference case #JJ208120.
