Butch Hartman, the renowned animator behind Nickelodeon’s beloved series “The Fairly OddParents” and “Danny Phantom,” has ventured into a new chapter of his career by launching his own independent animation studio. This studio is dedicated to producing and financing original faith-based and mainstream programming for children and families, with a focus on creating safe and entertaining content that ignites the imagination of young viewers.
The first production from Butch Hartman Studios is the expansion of the popular kids series “The Garden Cartoon,” which was originally created by Hartman. The show’s first season is now available on Angel Studios and various streaming platforms through the studio’s distribution partner, N Circle Entertainment. As production gears up for season two, fans can also look forward to several “Garden Cartoon” movies, some of which will be released in conjunction with Christian holidays and distributed by BMG-Global. Additionally, Capitol Records will continue to handle select songs from the series.
In addition to “The Garden Cartoon,” Butch Hartman Studios has an exciting development slate that includes projects like “Little Harps,” a series set at a Guardian Angel school for young recruits, “Dragon Drive-Thru,” which follows dragons running a fast-food stand in a medieval town, and “Family Fusion,” a show that explores the dynamics of two super-science families living next door to each other. These new series cater to different age groups, ranging from 3 to 11, and aim to provide engaging and family-friendly entertainment.
Butch Hartman expressed his vision for the studio, emphasizing the importance of creating content that inspires and entertains children while aligning with his Christian faith. With a team of approximately 40 talented animators and crew members, including veterans of Hartman’s previous productions, the studio is dedicated to delivering high-quality animated content to audiences worldwide.
Beyond his work in animation, Butch and his wife Julieann are also actively involved in charitable endeavors through Hartman House, a non-profit organization that supports children and families in need. Additionally, the Butch Hartman Art Academy offers courses and coaching in animation, allowing aspiring artists to learn from the industry veteran himself.
As Butch Hartman continues to make his mark in the world of animation, his dedication to creating wholesome and engaging content for young audiences remains unwavering. With a passion for storytelling and a commitment to uplifting and empowering children through entertainment, Butch Hartman Studios is poised to make a lasting impact in the world of children’s programming.
