Summer is just around the corner, and what better way to kick it off than with a trip back to camp? Disney has announced that “Camp Rock 3,” featuring the beloved Jonas Brothers as Connect 3, will be available for streaming on Disney+ and Disney Channel this summer. The exciting news was revealed along with a teaser introducing a new generation of campers.
In the teaser, Nick Jonas exclaims, “Music, friendship, memories,” while Joe Jonas adds, “We’re back, exactly where we’re supposed to be.” Kevin Jonas chimes in with his signature humor, “Still no birdhouse.”
The storyline of “Camp Rock 3” follows Connect 3 as they return to Camp Rock after losing their opening act for a major reunion tour. Back at their favorite camp, they discover the next big thing as campers compete for the opportunity to open for the band. Tensions rise, friendships are tested, and unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances unfold among the new campers. The fresh faces include Sage, Desi, Fletch, Rosie, Cliff, Callie, and Madison.
Fans of the original films will be thrilled to see Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas reprising their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray, respectively. Maria Canals-Barrera also makes a comeback as Connie. The original “Camp Rock” was released in 2008, followed by a sequel two years later, both becoming top Disney Channel Original Movies.
Demi Lovato, who starred in the first two films, will serve as an executive producer alongside the Jonas Brothers, Tim Federle, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh. The movie is directed by Veronica Rodriguez, written by Eydie Faye, and produced by Disney Branded Television. Choreography for the film is provided by Jamal Sims.
