Netflix continues to expand its roster of original content with the addition of new shows and movies, including the upcoming feature-length documentary on Saul “Canelo” Álvarez, Mexico’s four-division middleweight boxing champion of the world. The streaming giant also announced its first live event in Latin America, the second edition of “Supernova Genesis,” which will feature live performances by top local artists and amateur boxing matches between influencers and celebrities.

In addition to these exciting developments, Netflix unveiled a new series titled “El Otro Padre,” starring Manolo Cardona, Erik Hayser, and Silvia Navarro. The series follows Julieta as she faces a life-threatening health crisis during her graduation party, forcing her mother, Maca, to confront secrets from the past. Directed by Anileine Cal and Carlos Villegas, “El Otro Padre” promises to be an intense drama where love, truth, and sacrifice intertwine in a race against time.

Another highly anticipated series is “Alicia’s Law,” starring Fernanda Castillo and Juan Manuel Bernal, among others. Produced by CBS Studios in association with TIS Estudios, the show is directed by Ana Lorena Pérez Ríos, José Ramón Chávez, and Erik Baeza. The series promises to deliver top-notch Spanish-language entertainment to viewers around the world.

In the realm of movies, Netflix announced “Takedown,” featuring Alfonso Herrera and Noe Hernández as two cops who stumble upon one of the most dangerous criminals in the world during a routine stop. Produced by Francisco González Compeán and directed by Chava Cartas, “Takedown” is sure to be a thrilling action-packed adventure.

Lastly, Netflix revealed a new reality competition show called “Physical 100: Mexico,” produced by Endemol Shine Boomdog. An adaptation of the Korean original, the show promises to bring high-energy competition and entertainment to audiences in Mexico and beyond.
