Emergency services were called to Andersons Bay inlet in Dunedin tonight to assist a person whose vehicle had slid into the water.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand dispatched two trucks from Lookout Point and St Kilda around 8.15pm after receiving reports of a car entering the water off Marne St.
Fortunately, the individual inside the vehicle was not trapped but needed help from firefighters to exit the car safely.
After assisting with the extraction, Fenz handed over the scene to the police for further management.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the car had slid into the water and mentioned that traffic arrangements would be made during the retrieval process.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in this incident.
