Allegra Edwards has been announced as the newest addition to the cast of the CBS comedy pilot “Eternally Yours,” taking on a lead role in the upcoming show. The news was confirmed by Variety, revealing that Edwards will star alongside previously announced cast members Ed Weeks and Jaren Lewison. The pilot, which is a single-camera comedy, was greenlit by CBS after opening a development room for the show in mid-2024. The series is created by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the minds behind the successful CBS comedy “Ghosts.”
“Eternally Yours” is described as an eternal love story revolving around two vampires, played by Edwards and Weeks, who have been married for five hundred years. Their relationship is put to the test when their daughter starts dating a human, portrayed by Lewison. Edwards’ character, Liz, is a history professor and mother who has been a vampire since 1526 AD. Despite their romantic beginnings, Liz and Charles find themselves stuck in a mundane and unchanging marriage. Liz is determined to embrace change and drag her husband into the 21st century.
This role reunites Edwards with Port and Wiseman, as she previously appeared in multiple episodes of “Ghosts” as Donna, a ghost at a Caribbean resort. Her impressive resume includes roles in popular shows like “Upload” and “Briarpatch,” as well as guest appearances in “Orange Is the New Black,” “New Girl,” and “Modern Family.” She is represented by Innovative Artists Entertainment and OPE Partners.
The creative team behind “Eternally Yours” includes writers and executive producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, along with Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang. CBS Studios will be producing the show, adding to their roster of successful comedy series.
Fans of Allegra Edwards and supernatural comedies have much to look forward to with the upcoming pilot of “Eternally Yours.” Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new series as it develops.
