Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker
Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, known for their roles in Sex and the City, had a well-documented falling out that captivated fans and the media.
The rift between Cattrall and Parker reportedly began during negotiations for a third SATC movie in 2010. Parker claimed that Cattrall’s demands from the studio led to the project’s cancellation, causing tension between the former co-stars.
In a 2017 interview with Piers Morgan, Cattrall revealed that she and Parker were never actually friends. She criticized Parker for not being nicer on set, stating, “I don’t know what her problem is.”
The feud escalated in 2018 when Cattrall publicly called out Parker on social media after the latter offered condolences following Cattrall’s brother’s passing. Cattrall made it clear that Parker was neither her family nor her friend, accusing her of exploiting the tragedy for personal gain.
Parker responded to the controversy in an interview with Extra, emphasizing that she had no apologies and expressing gratitude for Cattrall’s contributions to the show. She clarified that it wasn’t a catfight but rather a one-sided situation where Cattrall chose to speak out.
Despite the ongoing feud, Parker reprised her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the SATC sequel series, And Just Like That, in 2021. However, Cattrall did not join the project initially but later made a cameo appearance in a 2023 episode.
