Chaz Bono Struggles with Drug Overdose and Emotional Eating
Chaz Bono, the 48-year-old son of Cher, has been facing a long battle with drugs, which recently led to a dramatic incident at the Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel. Reports suggest that Cher even attempted to have him kidnapped in order to rescue him from his drug addiction. Witnesses at the hotel saw the intense moment of the “rescue,” leaving both Cher and Bono struggling to cope with the situation.
A source close to the family revealed, “He is sick with worry watching Elijah deteriorate and feeling helpless.” Bono, who had previously made a significant transformation by losing 60 pounds and improving his health, is now turning to food for emotional comfort, according to insiders.
“He’s constantly eating the wrong stuff, taking breaks from exercising, and his clothes are now two sizes bigger than a decade ago,” one insider shared. Bono had successfully dropped from 250 pounds to under 200 pounds in the past, but has unfortunately gained much of the weight back.
The writer and actor’s struggle with drugs and emotional eating has left Cher concerned about his well-being. It’s a challenging time for the family as they try to support Bono in overcoming his issues and getting back on track to a healthier lifestyle.
