People magazine is reporting that Cheryl Hines and Robert Kennedy Jr., who have been married since 2014, have reportedly “barely spoken” in the past two weeks. This coincides with the time when the magazine suspended Olivia Nuzzi for not disclosing her relationship with the former independent presidential candidate, who has now aligned himself with Donald Trump.

According to sources close to Hines, she is embarrassed by the situation and has been in Europe since the scandal unfolded. During Milan Fashion Week last month, Hines was spotted at several shows with her daughter, Catherine Young, and showed support for Kyra Kennedy, her husband’s estranged daughter, who was participating in the event.

Despite the controversy, Kennedy has refrained from making direct comments. Both he and Nuzzi maintain that their relationship was strictly online and never physical.

In addition to being suspended from New York Magazine, Nuzzi has filed a lawsuit against her ex-fiancé, Politico journalist Ryan Lizza, accusing him of orchestrating a blackmail scheme against her.
