A daring cyclist confronted US Customs and Border Protection agents in downtown Chicago, shouting “I’m not a US citizen!” before initiating a chaotic street chase that was captured on video.
The intense scene reveals an unidentified cyclist approaching a group of agents on Sunday while federal immigration officers were conducting patrols in the city.
“I’m not a US citizen! Come on!” the cyclist can be heard taunting the agents repeatedly.
As an officer nears him, the defiant rider continues down the street, still hurling insults, but loses his phone in the process.
“You dropped your phone,” one officer calls out.
When the rider circles back to retrieve his phone, an agent shouts, “Get him!” prompting a dozen officers to sprint in pursuit of him.
Despite the agents’ efforts, the cyclist managed to evade them and pedaled away.
The incident was filmed by Christopher Sweat, who noted that while the man made verbal provocations, there was no physical confrontation.
Authorities have not revealed whether the individual was identified or apprehended, as reported by Fox 32.
