Gunfire Erupts Outside Chicago Nightclub, Leaving Three Dead and 16 Injured
Three individuals lost their lives and 16 others sustained injuries in a drive-by shooting outside the Artis Restaurant and Lounge nightclub in Chicago’s Near North Side neighborhood. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. as revelers were departing the venue after attending an album release party for local rapper Mello Buckzz.
Some of the wounded were transported to Northwestern Medical with unspecified injuries. Police are on the lookout for multiple suspects believed to be involved in the shooting.
The event was promoted as a “private location” gathering starting at 7 p.m. local time. The investigation is ongoing, and more updates will be provided as they become available.
