Chris Ware Designs Commemorative Stamps Celebrating 250 Years of USPS
From dropping letters in a mailbox to waving to neighbors and colleagues, the postwoman in Chris Ware’s latest set of U.S. postage stamps does it all. These stamps, set to be released on July 23, commemorate 250 years of the United States Postal Service and are designed in Ware’s distinctive graphic style.
Each stamp in the collection depicts a different scene, collectively telling the story of a postal carrier on her route through all four seasons. Ware collaborated with art director Antonio Alcalá to bring these stamps to life, showcasing a day in the life of a postwoman.
You can now pre-order a sheet of these unique stamps, which are sure to become collectors’ items. The illustrations capture the essence of postal service and the important role it plays in connecting people across the country.
