Christie Brinkley’s New Book Reveals Painful Past with Ex-Husband Peter Cook
Christie Brinkley has opened up about her tumultuous past with ex-husband Peter Cook in her upcoming book, dispelling claims that the memoir is fueled by revenge. Cook, who famously admitted to having an affair with an office assistant while still married to Brinkley, has been a central figure in the supermodel’s narrative.
An insider revealed, “There are certain people who have done her wrong over the years that are going to get blasted. Peter really put her through hell.” Cook, now 66, cheated on Brinkley with Diana Bianchi, a teen mistress who was only 18 at the time, back in 2005. The scandalous affair became public knowledge when Brinkley decided to leave Cook in 2007.
The aftermath of their split was anything but amicable, with the ex-couple engaging in a highly publicized feud that lasted for years. In a scathing email to RadarOnline.com in 2014, Cook accused Brinkley of fabrications and dishonesty. The divorce took a toll on their children, particularly their daughter Sailor, who was forced into counseling to cope with the fallout.
Reflecting on her parents’ divorce, Sailor shared, “My parents had just gotten divorced, and I was so confused about everything.” She recounted attending after-school counseling sessions as a young girl to navigate the emotional turmoil caused by her parents’ separation.
Brinkley’s forthcoming book promises to shed light on the pain and betrayal she experienced during her marriage to Cook, offering readers an intimate look into the supermodel’s personal struggles and triumphs.
