On Wednesday, Senator Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., took to the Senate floor to rebrand President Donald Trumpâs âbig, beautiful billâ as the âWeâre All Going to Die Act,â criticizing the legislation for its proposed cuts to Medicaid.
Schumer asserted that Republican senators backing Trumpâs budget proposal might be âtenured at best, suicidal at worst,â suggesting that their support could have dire electoral repercussions. âFor many Americans, health care coverage is the difference between life and death,â he emphasized, echoing concerns raised by Senator Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, who quipped in response to crowd jeers about Medicaid cuts, âWell, weâre all going to die.â
