Cineflix Rights has announced several international partnerships for its new titles including “Vanished History,” “Commando Missions,” and “Cape Carnage: Killer Catch.”
“Vanished History,” created by Shark Teeth Films for Bell Media in Canada, embarks on a quest to explore some of history’s most perplexing enigmas. The series has been acquired by Foxtel in Australia, RTL in Germany, Mediaset in Italy, Discovery in Iberia, and Hearst Networks for Benelux and Africa.
SBS (Australia), Société Radio-Canada (SRC, French Canada), Foxtel (Australia), and Creo (South Korea) have all secured rights to “Commando Missions” (produced by Galaxie Presse for Canal+ in France), which narrates audacious covert operations carried out behind enemy lines, forming part of the Allies’ strategic plan against Hitler’s regime. Recent agreements follow earlier sales to Hearst Networks (U.K., Benelux, CEE, Middle East, and Africa) and Czech TV.
“Cape Carnage: Killer Catch,” produced by McAvoy Media for Seven Network in Australia, UKTV, and TVNZ, chronicles the Davey family who pursue one of the most perilous professions in the world: hand-line fishing in the hazardous Northern Australian waters. It has been picked up by National Geographic Channel in the U.S., and Viasat World for Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe.
Sandra Piha, senior VP sales for pan-regional markets in the U.K., Ireland, and Scandinavia at Cineflix Rights, commented: “Documentaries focused on World War II that illuminate new perspectives on military tactics and operations have a steady audience appeal, and we’re experiencing increased interest from buyers for ‘history mystery’ programming. We’re thrilled to announce deals for two of our latest titles in this category, along with new series from our trusted partners at McAvoy Media, who excel in producing long-lasting, successful franchises for networks globally.”
