Bill and Hillary Clinton have agreed to testify under oath about their connections to Jeffrey Epstein. The House Oversight Committee’s investigation into Epstein, a convicted pedophile who had associations with Bill Clinton, prompted the Clintons to agree to testify.
The Clintons had initially fought a subpoena from Rep. James Comer, the GOP chairman on the House Oversight Committee. However, they ultimately decided to testify just days before the House was set to vote on holding them in criminal contempt of Congress.
Bill’s deputy chief of staff, Angel Urena, issued a statement indicating that the Clintons negotiated in good faith and are prepared to answer questions under oath. They are eager to set a precedent that applies to everyone involved in the investigation.
Photographs of Bill have been included in the Epstein Files releases, and flight logs from Epstein’s private jet show that Bill took four international trips on the plane in 2002 and 2003, before Epstein faced charges related to sex crimes.
Despite the evidence linking Bill to Epstein, he has denied ever visiting Epstein’s island. Hillary has also stated that she never met or spoken with Epstein.
