BTS’ Taehyung, also known as V, made headlines on February 21 when he hosted a live session on Weverse. During the stream, the talented singer surprised fans by performing a brief portion of Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now,” featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. The selected verse contained explicit wording and direct references to critics, causing a stir among viewers.

While reciting the line, Taehyung reacted momentarily to the phrasing before completing the segment. The broadcast continued without interruption, but clips from the livestream quickly spread across various social media platforms, sparking intense online discussions.

Many supporters interpreted Taehyung’s lyric choice as an indirect response to ongoing detractors. The verse’s direct address to haters led many to believe that the selection was intentional, with fans praising him for “clapping back” at the critics.

During the live broadcast, Taehyung also revealed that he had recently moved to a new residence. He shared with viewers that he missed ARMY and provided a brief walkthrough of the new interior, showcasing various artworks and decorations. One piece that caught the attention of fans was a bear painting from the “Love Bite” collection by UK painter Alison Friend, known as “Mr Three Scoops.”

Following the broadcast, Friend took to Instagram to express her surprise and appreciation for the artwork’s placement in Taehyung’s new home. The livestream also featured a newly introduced plant and other favorite artworks displayed in the singer’s new living space.

In other news, Taehyung addressed a recent controversy involving his private KakaoTalk conversations with Min Hee-jin, which were submitted as “evidence” in a legal dispute involving HYBE. Through an Instagram statement, he clarified that his remarks were not meant to show support for either side of the conflict, which reportedly touched on plagiarism debates related to NewJeans and ILLIT.
